About The Position

Seeking a hands-on Executive Producer with solid news judgment, leadership skills, creativity, and a drive for excellence. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker capable of planning and executing plans, with proven leadership in digital efforts and social media. This role requires several years of producing experience in major market newsrooms and EP experience. The ability to multitask and be a team player is essential.

Requirements

• Several years producing experience in major market newsrooms and EP experience.
• Proven leader in digital efforts and social media.
• Ability to multitask.
• Team player.
• Knowledge of television news.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced high-energy environment with daily deadlines and changing priorities.
• 3-5 years experience as a producer and/or executive producer in a commercial news operation.
• News computer knowledge necessary.
• A Valid driver’s license is required.

Nice To Haves

• College degree in journalism or broadcasting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and execution of daily newscasts.
• Oversee a staff of Anchors, Reporters, Producers, Associate Producers, Assignment Editors, Directors, Photographers, and Video Editors.
• Lead digital efforts and social media initiatives.
• Plan and execute news strategies.
