About The Position

Seeking a hands-on Executive Producer with solid news judgment, leadership skills, creativity, and a drive for excellence. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can plan and execute plans effectively. Proven leadership in digital efforts and social media is essential. This role requires several years of producing experience in major market newsrooms and prior EP experience. The ability to multitask and be a team player is crucial.

Requirements

• Knowledge of television news
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to work in a fast-paced high-energy environment with daily deadlines and changing priorities
• 3-5 years experience as a producer and/or executive producer in a commercial news operation
• News computer knowledge
• A Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

• College degree in journalism or broadcasting preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and execution of daily newscasts.
• Manage a staff of Anchors, Reporters, Producers, Associate Producers, Assignment Editors, Directors, Photographers, and Video Editors.
• Lead digital efforts and social media initiatives.
• Plan and execute strategic initiatives for newscasts.
