CBC News is seeking an Executive Producer of Video Experience to lead the teams managing Canada’s largest news video channels. You set the agenda for our network’s audience-facing video platforms, supervise and develop staff, and guide programming decisions with newsroom leaders across the country. This is a permanent, full‑time position based in Toronto. As CBC News prioritizes the needs of mobile and streaming audiences and delivers content that aligns with our strategic objectives, you connect our content with those audiences, including new and younger Canadians. You understand what people want to watch — and where, when, and how they want to watch it. As a strong editorial leader, you know how to oversee the packaging of compelling video for mobile, streaming, and third‑party platforms including YouTube and TikTok. You bring a deep understanding of platform behaviours, video formats, SEO, comments and moderation, and audience expectations, and you can clearly communicate those needs to a news operation producing daily news video. With your expertise in industry trends and technologies, you help shape and evolve CBC News’s video and social strategy. You motivate and develop journalists, champion editorial excellence, and ensure our audience-facing video experiences are consistent, innovative, and aligned with CBC’s Journalistic Standards and Practices. You model and promote an inclusive and respectful workplace.
