Executive Operations, Growth

MercorSan Francisco, CA
$130,000 - $180,000Onsite

About The Position

Mercor is seeking an Executive Operations professional to partner directly with the GM of Growth. This role is crucial for driving strategy, OKRs, and execution across product, growth, operations, and hiring within the Growth organization. Unlike a traditional Product Manager, this individual will be adaptable, tackling ambiguous problems, leading cross-functional initiatives, and filling operational gaps as needed. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, execution-focused, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a strong bias for action. Success in this role means ensuring cross-functional initiatives progress, priorities remain on track during organizational scaling, and the GM has a trusted partner capable of independently managing ambiguous problems. Stakeholders should perceive this individual as a credible and capable representative of the GM.

Requirements

  • Four or more years of experience in operations, strategy, or consulting.
  • Prior experience as a Chief of Staff or similar role supporting a leader over an org of five or more people is ideal.
  • Highly analytical and execution-focused.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Scrappy, with a strong bias to action — comfortable moving quickly from strategy to action with minimal direction.
  • Solution-oriented with sharp, PM-like instincts for structuring ambiguous problems, but energized by breadth rather than owning a single roadmap.
  • Strong communicator who can work across functions and with stakeholders.
  • Trustworthy, low-ego style.

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives and special projects, turning ambiguous ideas into structured plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Establish operating rhythms and align teams across product, growth, marketing, and operations.
  • Remove blockers and keep top priorities on track as the Growth org scales.
  • Drive key workstreams across hiring and go-to-market.
  • Act as a flexible strategic partner to the GM, jumping into whatever needs attention, whether that’s a stalled initiative or a tricky stakeholder conversation.
  • Support stakeholder management across teams like Product, Marketing, Data, and Sales, keeping people aligned without formal authority.

Benefits

  • Bi-annual performance bonus structure
  • Generous equity grant vested over 4 years
  • Up to $15k Relocation bonus
  • $10K housing bonus (if you live within 0.5 miles of our office)
  • $1.5K monthly stipend for meals
  • Free Equinox membership
  • $200 monthly laundry reimbursement
