About The Position

In partnership with the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), this role is responsible for the creation, facilitation, implementation, and management of Human Resources policy, plans, and projects. It provides leadership for all areas of human resources data management/data governance, Employee Services, and the implementation and ongoing support of the district's ERP related to HR, Compensation, Benefits, and Recruiting. The role directs operational strategies and technology services within the department. It acts as the departmental liaison for all data and open records requests, as well as other requests for information from Communications or stakeholders. The position provides regular assistance to the CHRO in the execution/management of initiatives, creation of presentations, and communication with HR leaders and staff, as well as other stakeholders. It represents the CHRO and department in meetings and activities as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of applicable professional-level experience
  • Proven experience managing a variety of projects with varying levels of complexity to successful completion.
  • Experience working effectively with executives and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Proven ability to manage conflict and diffuse difficult situations.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CHRO in creating, facilitating, implementing, executing, and managing HR plans and projects related to district strategies and programs, coordinating the efforts of HR team members and other entities/stakeholders as needed.
  • Support CHRO with strategy and change management planning and activity.
  • Provide leadership for Employee Services, and other assigned divisions.
  • Establish and maintain a high degree of contact with direct reports, staff from other divisions, and district administrators to ensure that services are provided in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Direct activities related to identification and resolution of issues.
  • Provide oversight for all areas of HR data management/data governance and analytical support such as data gathering, analysis and research, as well as programmatic integration and workflow.
  • Coordinate efforts related to the reporting and analysis of Human Resource metrics.
  • Oversee the development, design, and preparation of formal presentations for the department.
  • Present information to district stakeholders as needed.
  • Provide ongoing support of the district’s Enterprise Resource Planning system as it relates to HR, Compensation, Benefits, and Recruiting.
  • Lead other initiatives within the department related to technology systems and services.
  • Direct activities related to process documentation and continuous improvement within the department.
  • Works with the relevant HR staff to ensure deliverables, initiatives, and projects for CHRO are on track (timelines and content).
  • Provides the CHRO regular updates and identifies barriers to project completion and works to resolve them when possible.
  • Collaborate with CHRO to direct operational strategies for the department, including budget, purchasing, contracts, policy, procedures, liaison with facilities, construction and maintenance, etc.
  • Establish and maintain relationships across the district to facilitate smooth operations and ensure that information is consistently exchanged with relevant partners.
  • Review, analyze, and approve/disapprove requests from internal and external customers to ensure policies, rules, and laws are appropriately applied.
  • Act as departmental liaison for all data and open record requests, and as point of contact for other requests for information from Communications or stakeholders.
  • Creates and maintains division information sites and regular employee communications.
  • Demonstrate commitment to staying current regarding HR compliance and regulatory matters (federal, state, and local regulations, laws, rules, and standards).

  • The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference.
