About The Position

Provide leadership, strategic direction and managerial oversight to assigned departments/units. This role involves providing strategic vision and voice to assigned departments/units, representing Washington University in regional conversations, strategy development, and implementation. It also requires establishing and nurturing effective relationships with faculty and staff across the University, collaborating to advance the quality, impact, and scale of the department/unit, and overseeing efforts to strengthen existing programs and develop new initiatives that align with institutional objectives. The position includes managing assigned staff and budgetary/financial responsibilities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
Progressively Responsible Leadership (10 Years)
A driver's license is not required for this position.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic vision and voice to assigned department/unit.
Represent WU in regional conversations, strategy development and implementation.
Establish and nurture highly effective relationships with faculty and staff across the University who function in a variety of roles critical to the success of department/unit.
Collaborate to advance the quality, impact and scale of department/unit.
Oversee efforts to strengthen existing programs as well as the development and evaluation of new initiatives that strategically align with Washington University institutional objectives in the St. Louis region.
Manage assigned staff.
Budgetary and financial responsibilities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
