About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the housekeeping operations to deliver excellent guest experience. The housekeeping supervisor will be required to assist the General Manager and monitor standards. This role involves overseeing housekeeping operations, supporting departmental targets, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and guest service. The Executive Housekeeper will also manage staff performance, conduct training, and act as Manager on Duty when the General Manager is unavailable.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be willing to cover shifts when needed
  • Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Physically capable of standing for long hours

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the housekeeping operations
  • Support departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, and policies and procedures
  • Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the housekeeping team with an emphasis on training and teamwork
  • Assist the General Manager to maintain good communication and work relationships in all areas of the hotel
  • Ensure staffing levels cover business demands
  • Ensure ongoing training to support General Manager
  • Manage staff performance issues in compliance with company policy and procedure
  • Support managing, training and developing housekeeping team
  • Perform Manager on duty when General Manager is unavailable
  • Assist other departments whenever necessary
  • Always maintain a kind and courteous demeanor
  • Provides a pleasant experience to all our guests and responds to guest inquiries in a timely fashion
  • Works effectively with others (individuals and departments) in a positive, supportive and cooperative manner
  • Helps team members in their duties and assists new associates in learning their new job skills
  • Communicates any issues of concerns and ensures all internal matters are presented to GM in a timely manner
  • Maintains the highest standard of cleanliness
  • Cleans and services and oversees the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and service public areas as assigned
  • Performs all duties in a safe and responsible manner to assure workers, guests, suppliers/contractors and the environment are not at risk
  • Comply with all company safety policies, procedures and instructions
  • Uses materials handling procedures and equipment provided to minimize contamination or injury
  • Reports to manager any unsafe practice or condition and follow all safety initiatives
