About The Position

Calyx Living of Fuquay is seeking an Executive Director to lead and manage its senior living community. The Executive Director is the senior leader and public face of the community, overseeing daily operations and ensuring quality services, resident satisfaction, regulatory compliance, staffing, and sales. The role focuses on maintaining full occupancy, enriching residents’ lives, building relationships with residents’ families and the wider community, and fostering a positive workplace. The Executive Director also supports human resources functions and oversees the department head team while ensuring the community follows Calyx policies, values, and applicable government regulations.

Requirements

• North Carolina assisted living administrator certification, or ability to acquire it within six months of hire.
• Three years of executive management experience in senior living, health care, or the hospitality industry.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Basic computer skills, including comfort with Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous experience directing and supervising a team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Passion for working with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations, including service delivery, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, staffing, and sales.
• Maintain resident satisfaction and full occupancy.
• Provide leadership to ensure quality care and enrich residents’ lives.
• Build relationships with residents’ families, community contacts at networking events, and employees.
• Ensure the community operates in accordance with Calyx policies and values and all governmental regulations.
• Inspire staff to embrace the organization’s mission and values and prioritize residents’ best interests.
• Support human resources functions, including hiring, retention, and staffing, and oversee the department head team.
• Promote the community’s services to families in the broader community.
