About The Position

American Senior Communities is seeking an experienced, licensed Executive Director to lead the team at North Capitol Nursing & Rehab. This strategic, people-focused role balances operational excellence with compassionate leadership. The Executive Director oversees clinical and non-clinical operations in skilled nursing, supports team development and accountability, ensures compliance and quality standards, manages financial performance and census growth, and builds trusted relationships with residents, families, staff, and community partners.

Requirements

• Must hold a licensed Health Facility Administrator (HFA) license.
• Must have experience in the health, human services, and/or community services field.
• Must be available to work varying hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of clinical and non-clinical operations in skilled nursing, including QAPI, performance metrics, outcome management, crisis management, and problem solving.
• Strong understanding of Federal and State guidelines, resident rights, safety, quality standards, risk management, and compliance monitoring.
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance reimbursement and management.
• Ability to build relationships and communicate empathetically with residents, families, staff, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical and non-clinical operations in a skilled nursing setting, including QAPI, performance metrics, outcome management, crisis management, and problem solving.
• Plan and execute staff recruitment, retention, and team development; inspire, motivate, and hold teams accountable.
• Advocate for resident rights, safety, and quality standards, and oversee risk management and compliance monitoring.
• Lead revenue growth and census development; oversee budget development, cost control, and resource allocation.
• Build trust with residents, families, staff, and community partners, handling sensitive and emotional situations with empathy.
