About The Position

MaineGeneral Health (MGH) is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to serve as the Executive Director of the Kennebec Regional Health Alliance (KRHA). This is an exciting time to join our team, as we are restructuring KRHA to maximize value-based reimbursement opportunities and strengthen our position for the future. KRHA is a Physician-Hospital Organization (PHO) and Accountable Care Organization (ACO) that plays a vital role in aligning providers and payers to deliver high-quality, coordinated care to the communities we serve. As the Executive Director, you will report directly to the MGH CEO and have the opportunity to lead, influence, and develop value-based strategies at Maine's third-largest independent health system. Requirements

  • Proven executive experience in healthcare administration, with a strong background in strategic planning, financial oversight, and operational management.
  • Expertise in population health management with knowledge of contract negotiations and care coordination.
  • Ability to lead quality improvement initiatives and foster a culture of evidence-based practice.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with experience engaging with diverse healthcare stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.
  • Leadership experience in team development, with a commitment to fostering continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement KRHA’s strategic plan to align with organizational goals and future healthcare trends.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance care coordination, patient engagement, and population health management while positioning KRHA as a leader in value-based care.
  • Manage KRHA’s budget, financial performance, and reporting processes.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for shared savings and reimbursement enhancements to maximize value-based reimbursement.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate KRHA’s performance and outcomes.
  • Provide regular reports to the MGH CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leadership on progress and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with medical staff, member practices, payers, and community organizations.
  • Act as the primary spokesperson for KRHA, communicating its mission and values to all stakeholders effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to federal and state healthcare regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.
  • Stay informed of changes in healthcare policies that affect value-based care.
  • Lead efforts to improve clinical quality, patient satisfaction, and health outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement using evidence-based practices and innovative care solutions.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement data-driven approaches to monitor and improve performance metrics.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor KRHA staff, promoting a collaborative and performance-driven environment.
  • Encourage professional growth and continuous learning within the team.
