This is a fully remote position in the San Antonio area. The role requires 50% travel within Central and South Texas. The Executive Director leads the distinguished event team that oversees The Cattle Baron's Ball, Coaches vs. Cancer, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and Golf Classics. The Executive Director will be responsible for leading the Society’s fundraising activities for a market-based area, including management of a small team of fundraising professionals. This role is responsible for the achievement of aggressive revenue targets through leveraging external relationships for corporate engagement, major gifts and fundraising events. This role is accountable for the engagement of executive leadership volunteers (Area Board, CEOs Against Cancer Chapters, event leadership teams) and driving integration with our mission pillars of Discovery, Patient Support & Advocacy. Accountable for an area that includes: • 1 top 50 MSAs, with limited activities in secondary markets • F1000 headquarters & large health systems • Pockets of individual wealth • $3M - $5M revenue accountability
