The Executive Director has the ultimate responsibility for the effectiveness and impact of CICW's programming, staffing, and strategic partnerships. As the institute's leader, the Executive Director is a catalytic voice that champions the mission, values, and Ten Core Convictions about Worship that animate CICW's work. The Executive Director reports to the Dean of the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences of Calvin University and collaboratively leads a team of 18, composed of directors, program managers, resource development specialists, coordinators, and administrative staff. The Executive Director leads within the context of the University's mission, strategic priorities, and its relationship with the Christian Reformed Church in North America. This is expressed through Reformed Christian commitment in faith and practice, while stewarding and fostering the institute's ecumenical mission among diverse Christian communities. Qualifications: -Doctoral or terminal degree in a complementary field strongly preferred; five years of relevant or equivalent professional experience will also be considered. -Reformed Christian commitment with a heart for ecumenical engagement and bridge-building in today's polarized context; meeting (or being able to fulfill) Calvin University's faculty expectations, including teaching typically two courses per year. -An articulate personal calling to encourage and equip the global church and its diverse worshipping communities. -A passion for worship and for CICW's mission, values, and Ten Core Convictions. -Scholarly and/or practical experience serving the church through worship leadership, music, liturgy, teaching, or thought leadership. -Significant organizational or program leadership that advanced strategic priorities and required skillful team and financial oversight. -Successful fundraising or grant development that resulted in significant, multi-year financial support.
