About The Position

Our non-profit client, CraftNOW Philadelphia, is seeking an energetic and passionate Executive Director to build on its well-established programmatic vision and steward the organization into the future through their leadership, development, fundraising, and guidance. The Executive Director (ED) is the chief operational, strategic, and administrative leader of the organization. This position will work closely with the Board and its committees toward implementing the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic goals. The ED will ensure the organization's financial health, drive fundraising and development efforts, and manage the organization's day-to-day administration and operations. This position currently supervises one part-time assistant, and oversees a small team of consultants, with the opportunity to shape future staffing and contractor support based on organizational priorities and available resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5 or more years of leadership experience in a nonprofit setting.
  • Experience with and knowledge of the Arts and Crafts community in the greater metropolitan area of Philadelphia, PA.
  • A proven track record of fundraising and demonstrated success in donor cultivation, grant writing, and revenue generation.
  • Experience managing a six-figure budget and any necessary financial reporting.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in arts administration, nonprofit management, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all fundraising efforts, including major donor cultivation, grant writing, corporate sponsorships, and special events.
  • Secure revenue streams to support operational sustainability and growth.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal non-profit regulations, maintain the database with accurate donor data, and compile fundraising reports.
  • Oversee daily operations, including administrative systems, website management, and human resources.
  • Develop and manage the annual budget; ensure sound financial controls and fiscal stewardship.
  • Ensure financial operations compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategic plans in collaboration with the board.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive work culture.
  • Provide timely updates on operational and financial performance to the Board of Directors.
  • Work with the board and its committees to enhance the organization’s value-added approach to partnerships.
  • Collaborate with board committees and staff to plan and execute public programming (Symposium, Tools of the Trades, CraftNOW Create – Smith Memorial Playground and Summer Camp, as described in www.craftnowphila.org).
  • Maintain, expand, and strengthen partnerships with community leaders, patrons, and other cultural organizations.
  • Manage marketing, branding, and audience development efforts.

Benefits

  • The target salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000, in addition to benefits.
