About The Position

The Ironwood at Oro Valley, Arizona, an Assisted Living & Memory Care Community part of Stellar Senior Living, is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our community, team members, and the resident experience. This is an opportunity for a proven senior living leader who understands that great results come from great people. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable supporting residents and families, developing leaders, managing operations, and driving financial performance.

Requirements

  • Successful leadership experience in assisted living, memory care, or a related senior healthcare setting
  • Proven ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing teams
  • Strong operational, financial, and business management skills
  • Experience improving occupancy, resident satisfaction, and team engagement
  • Ability to balance accountability with servant leadership
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Licensed Assisted Living Administrator (required)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Community - Serve as the face of the community and create an environment where residents, families, and team members feel valued, supported, and connected.
  • Develop Leaders - Build strong department heads, hold the team accountable, and provide coaching, support, and professional development. Success in this role requires developing people, not simply managing them.
  • Deliver Operational Excellence - Ensure exceptional resident care and service while maintaining compliance with quality standards and delivering a positive resident experience throughout the community.
  • Drive Sustainable Growth - Partner with sales and marketing leaders to maintain strong occupancy through community reputation, referral relationships, resident satisfaction, and operational excellence.
  • Manage the Business - Maintain full responsibility for financial performance, budgeting, labor management, and overall operational success. Understand how to balance mission, people, and financial stewardship.
  • Build Community Relationships - Develop and maintain relationships with referral partners, healthcare providers, residents, families, and community stakeholders.

Benefits

  • Base Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 (DOE)
  • Annual Bonus Opportunity: Up to $40,000
