Executive Director - Pre-Lease New Construction

Spectrum Retirement Communities, LLCScottsdale, AZ
Onsite

About The Position

We’re looking for a driven community leader to own the full lease-up journey for a brand-new Spectrum Retirement Community in Scottsdale — from first inquiry to hiring a team and on to opening day. Working from our pre-opening sales center, you’ll be the face of the community before the doors open, helping the Director of Sales to build the pipeline, convert deposits, and hit occupancy goals through smart relationship-building and disciplined sales execution. As we get closer to opening, you will work with your Operations partners to build out a best-in-class team to lead the community. Post opening, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the community.

Requirements

  • Proven success in sales — pre-leasing, senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or consultative sales backgrounds are all great fits.
  • Strong communicator and relationship-builder who can guide families through complex decisions with empathy and clarity.
  • Confident public speaker who can sell a vision before a community is open.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a startup-like environment with the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
  • Comfortable with CRM platforms and data — you track your pipeline, analyze conversion trends, and report on results.
  • High School diploma required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Nice To Haves

  • bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead all pre-leasing activity with the Director of Sales— generating leads, managing the waitlist, securing deposits, and converting prospects to residents.

  • Build referral networks with healthcare providers, senior service organizations, and community partners.
  • Represent Spectrum at networking events, industry functions, and community outreach.
  • Partner with marketing, operations, and development teams to keep prospects informed throughout construction.
  • Track forecasts, deposit projections, and lease-up reporting to stay on target.
  • Coordinate resident transition planning for a smooth move-in experience at opening.

  • Post opening, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the community.
