About The Position

The Landing in Carmichael, a 100% Independent Living community, is seeking a hands-on, sales-driven leader to drive occupancy, build relationships, and create a vibrant community. This role is a hybrid of Executive Director and Sales Director responsibilities, focusing on treating the community as a business and a brand. The ideal candidate will lead daily operations, ensure programming and services create an engaging environment, build and lead a team, be the face of the community in the local market, and manage the budget and financial performance to improve occupancy and resident satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Sales Leadership Experience (Required): Proven ability to set sales goals and convert leads to move-ins. Experience in senior living, multifamily, hospitality, or related industries is applicable.
  • Operational Leadership: Experience managing teams, budgets, and day-to-day operations.
  • Hospitality Mindset: Understanding of customer experience and ability to deliver service that drives satisfaction and referrals.
  • Closer Mentality: Comfort leading tours, overcoming objections, and asking for the deposit.
  • Relationship Builder: Strong presence in the community with the ability to generate organic leads and partnerships.
  • Tech Comfort: Familiarity with CRM systems, MS Office 365, and web-based platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Drive occupancy and revenue by leading tours, managing the sales pipeline, building referral relationships, and closing deals.
  • Oversee all aspects of community operations, including hospitality services, dining, maintenance, and resident experience.
  • Ensure programming, events, and services create a vibrant, engaging environment that drives retention and referrals.
  • Hire, coach, and hold the team accountable, setting the tone for service, energy, and professionalism.
  • Develop relationships in the local market, generate organic leads, and position The Landing as a top choice.
  • Manage budget, expenses, and performance to improve occupancy, resident satisfaction, and overall financial results.
