About The Position
Mattapan Food and Fitness Coalition (MFFC) will be launching a search for a new Executive Director. This is an opportunity to lead a resident-led, community-based organization and contribute to health and wellness in Mattapan and surrounding Boston neighborhoods. The Executive Director will advance MFFC’s mission, guide its strategic direction, strengthen community partnerships, and support staff, youth leaders, and volunteers. The role will build on MFFC’s community roots and grow and diversify resources to sustain its programs. Founded in 2006 by Mattapan residents, MFFC builds intergenerational leadership within Mattapan’s Black and Brown community to advocate for equitable access to healthy foods and opportunities for physical activity. Its programs include the Mattapan Square Farmers Market, community fitness and biking programs, the Vigorous Youth youth leadership program, and resident engagement in shaping a healthier neighborhood.
