About The Position

The Executive Director will be responsible for the strategic direction, operational management, and overall performance of perioperative services including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in healthcare management, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of driving excellence in surgical services.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in perioperative services, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
• Proven track record of successful leadership, strategic planning, and change management in a healthcare environment.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and revenue cycle management.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to drive quality improvement initiatives and implement best practices to enhance patient care.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and healthcare policies related to perioperative services.
• Ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving organizational goals while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize perioperative services in alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders to enhance clinical pathways, protocols, and quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and safety.
• Oversee operational functions including scheduling, resource allocation, budget management, and performance metrics tracking to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the perioperative services department to enhance patient experience and staff satisfaction.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including physicians, administrators, and external partners to promote collaboration and strategic partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and quality assurance protocols within perioperative services.
• Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based solutions to enhance operational performance and financial sustainability.
• Represent the organization in professional forums, conferences, and community events to promote perioperative services and advance the organization's reputation.
