About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking an Executive Director of Supply Chain Procurement to provide enterprise leadership for the strategy, governance, and execution of Supply Chain Purchasing across all supported locations. This leader will design and implement standardized procurement processes, policies, and service levels to ensure consistency, scalability, compliance, and operational excellence. The role involves serving as the executive owner of procurement systems, workflows, and data governance, overseeing ERP/MMIS optimization, technology enablement, and data integrity. The Executive Director will lead procurement performance management through KPIs, dashboards, SLAs, and reporting to improve transparency and support executive decision-making. This position requires partnering with sourcing, contracting, finance, and operational leaders to enhance contract compliance, improve spend visibility, and align procurement with enterprise priorities. The leader will oversee purchasing for goods, services, and capital; resolve supplier, system, and fulfillment issues; and serve as the final escalation point. Additionally, the Executive Director will drive continuous improvement, ensure PO compliance, and build a high-performing procurement organization through talent development and succession planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of people leader experience.

  • Master's Degree is preferred.
