About The Position

The Executive Director of Supply Chain is responsible for leading a fully integrated, system-wide approach to supply chain and logistics across acute and non-acute settings, including Jupiter Medical Center Physician Group (JMCPG). Responsible for maximizing efficiencies across all functions, driving consistency and service excellence across the enterprise. Also responsible for implementing policies and procedures that guide and support services, assess and improve supply chain performance, and ensure orientation and continuing education of the team. The Executive Director will partner closely with clinical, operational, and financial stakeholders to ensure alignment, optimize performance, and advance a unified supply chain strategy that supports patient care, operational resilience, and long-term growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain, or healthcare related focus is required.
  • 5 years of demonstrated experience in Supply Chain / Logistics including 3 years in managerial roles
  • Supply Chain leadership experience over distribution centers and logistics management required
  • Must be a strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to evolve systems and processes as an organization scales in size
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
  • Track record of driving standardization, cost savings, and performance improvement in a complex environment
  • Collaborative leader with demonstrated ability to partner with service line leaders, administrative team, physicians, etc.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship building skills
  • Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation.
  • TB/PPD Surveillance Program Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full continuum of supply chain distribution strategy for Jupiter Medical Center (JMC), including inventory, replenishment, and logistics
  • Drive standardization of supply delivery models and integrate legacy processes into a unified system-wide approach
  • Optimize inventory management to reduce waste, improve service levels, and strengthen supply chain resilience
  • Implement performance metrics and service recovery strategies
  • Proactively seek out changes occurring in supply chain across the healthcare industry and in other industries to anticipate the future needs of the organization and implement best practices where appropriate
  • Develop and execute a system-wide supply chain distribution strategy that positions the enterprise to scale supply chain functions as the organization grows
  • Partner with executive leadership to ensure supply chain strategies support the desired clinical and financial outcomes
  • Assist with Supply Chain GPO selection and integration for a seamless transition that avoids disruption in patient care
  • Facilitates a strong Value Analysis Team function and partners with clinical leaders to drive product standardization, utilization, and contract compliance
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, IT and finance leaders to identify cost optimization opportunities
  • Leverage data and benchmarking to identify opportunities for cost savings, quality improvement, and operational efficiency
  • Track, measure, and communicate performance outcomes and savings initiatives to leadership
  • Implement best practices to continuously improve distribution and logistics strategies and execution
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of supply chain leaders across the organization
  • Foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture focused on operational excellence
  • Provide leadership in workforce planning, talent development, and retention
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, ethical sourcing standards, and organizational policies
  • Manage the profit and loss of the facility Supply Chain operations.
  • Manage disaster supplies and processes, ensuring facility/facilities are prepared for disasters.
  • Effectively uses and role models current management techniques and theories, encouraging the decision-making skills of staff members and providing insight and leadership in complex situations.
  • Supervises the development of service policies, procedures, and operating guidelines.
  • Collaborates with other services within the division.
  • Ensures that information is disseminated to staff is monitored for effectiveness and changed as needed.
  • Understands and enforces all hospital and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Lead and/or serve on hospital and Patient Care Services committees, teams, and work groups as required.
