The Executive Director, Pharmacy Services is responsible for pharmacy operations, financial, regulatory, clinical, and quality components as well as the overall leadership of acute and non-acute pharmacy services at Long Beach Medical Center (LBM) and Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital (MCWH). The Executive Director, Pharmacy Services is accountable for pharmacy-related safe medication use; scope of responsibility includes meeting all regulatory requirements, including but not limited to Joint Commission, DEA, CDPH, California Board of Pharmacy, and FDA; and sustains compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, codes, and standards of the organization. The incumbent is responsible for aligning acute and non-acute pharmacy services delivery with system initiatives by executing the strategic direction of pharmacy services in collaboration with enterprise pharmacy strategy to achieve strategic objectives and ensure financial stability and growth, systemwide standardization, and operational efficiency. This position is also responsible for coordinating the business and financial activities of campus pharmacy services and will collaborate closely with campus and system leadership to continually assess and direct a wide range of issues, including operational, personnel, budgetary, facilities and systems issues, programmatic development, long-range planning and project development.
