About The Position

KVC Missouri is seeking an experienced residential leader to oversee multiple departments and help guide the success of its residential treatment program in Springfield, Missouri. The Executive Director will build and support teams, collaborate with KVC leadership, and oversee operations serving children and families. The role focuses on safe, trauma-informed, high-quality care, operational effectiveness, compliance, and positive outcomes.

Requirements

At least five years of experience working with children in a residential or behavioral healthcare setting.
At least four years managing a large team or department.
Strong understanding of residential services and the leadership capabilities to oversee complex program operations.
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Proven ability to lead, develop, and support staff across multiple functions.
Sound judgment and an operational perspective to guide a large team and advance program goals.
Dedication to professional growth, quality care, and positive outcomes for children.

Nice To Haves

LCSW or LPC license.
Experience in an administrative or executive role.

Responsibilities

Lead and support a large, multidisciplinary team spanning operations, clinical services, education, and support staff.
Oversee daily residential operations and ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and organizational policies.
Manage budgets, staffing, and enrollment to support program goals and operational effectiveness.
Foster a trauma-informed, high-quality care environment for children and families.
Partner with KVC leadership to evaluate performance, address operational needs, and drive continuous improvement.
Develop teams and support leaders across multiple departments.
