About The Position

As a leader in the automotive mobility industry, we help individuals with disabilities, veterans, and families regain independence through wheelchair-accessible vehicles and mobility solutions. We are seeking a results-driven, customer-focused Rentals Sales Manager to lead and grow our rental sales program. This role is responsible for driving revenue, developing a high-performing team, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience across all rental touchpoints. The Rentals Sales Manager oversees all aspects of the rental sales operation, including lead management, sales performance, team development, and process execution. This individual will lead the Rental Sales team, ensure consistent and timely follow-up on all inquiries, and drive continuous improvement in sales effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience
  • leadership or management experience strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems and sales pipeline management
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with insurance verification and third-party payers is a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct or Enterprise a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop Rental Sales Specialists to achieve individual and team performance goals
  • Provide ongoing training in product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer experience
  • Foster a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and professionalism
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback
  • Drive rental revenue growth by improving lead conversion, close rates, and customer retention
  • Oversee all incoming leads (phone, internet, referrals) to ensure timely response and follow-up
  • Support team in needs assessment, objection handling, and closing strategies
  • Monitor and manage sales pipeline activity within CRM
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of all leads, activities, and customer information in CRM
  • Oversee quoting, reservations, and work order creation for all rental transactions
  • Ensure timely processing of third-party payers (VA, Vocational Rehab, insurance, etc.)
  • Maintain organized and compliant electronic customer files
  • Partner with multiple branch locations to support and expand the rental program
  • Standardize processes and ensure consistency across all locations
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new team members as needed
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics (lead response time, conversion rate, revenue, etc.)
  • Generate reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure a high level of professionalism in all customer interactions
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns in a timely and effective manner
  • Maintain a strong, service-oriented culture aligned with company values
