About The Position

LEARN Behavioral is a national organization dedicated to nurturing children with autism and special needs. We specialize in evidence-based applied behavior analysis to deliver personalized treatment plans. We are seeking an Executive Director of Advocacy to lead our efforts in improving access to care for autistic individuals, particularly those covered by Medicaid. This role involves shaping the legislative and regulatory landscape for autism services and serving as a trusted voice for a leading provider of ABA and autism care. The ideal candidate will develop and execute plans that drive meaningful impact, partnering with executive management, local leadership, and lobbyists to advance reforms and represent LEARN's interests.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in advocacy, government relations, public policy, or a closely related field.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to translate complex policy issues into actionable advocacy strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Track record of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to represent LEARN in key markets and forums.
• Presently eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advocacy initiatives in key markets, focusing on Medicaid programs.
• Partner with local leadership to integrate advocacy priorities into business strategy.
• Track and report on legislation and regulations affecting access to care.
• Build and sustain relationships with key external stakeholders, including legislators, regulators, payors, and industry partners.
• Represent LEARN at relevant forums, conferences, and events.
• Keep executive management informed of developments impacting the organization.
• Partner with Payor relations and RCM team on reimbursement issues.
• Liaise with key industry groups.
