About The Position

The Executive Director, Enterprise Strategy will report to the executive leader of the Strategy & Portfolio team within the Corporate Strategy & Market Analytics organization, and will partner with leaders across GE Vernova’s corporate and business unit teams to lead strategy projects. This role involves driving strategic impact by co-leading cross-functional processes to identify top corporate-level strategic opportunities or risks, and leading strategic analyses to address them. The position plays a key role in developing enterprise growth initiatives, including identifying, assessing, and prioritizing adjacent markets for GE Vernova to enter. It also involves performing strategic analyses and scenario planning to understand trends and anticipate disruptions in GE Vernova’s markets, and working closely with the market analytics team to translate market intelligence into actionable strategic insights. The role requires preparing high-quality presentations and memos summarizing findings and recommendations, and facilitating senior executive-level discussions to drive buy-in and alignment. Additionally, the role analyzes GE Vernova’s current portfolio of businesses, develops options for strategic portfolio expansion and optimization, and defines the M&A gameboard and investment thesis in line with the company’s enterprise strategy and growth priorities. Collaboration with GE Vernova’s Corporate Business Development team on acquisitions and divestitures, and contribution to capital allocation decisions are also key aspects. The role spearheads the analysis of adjacent markets for potential entry, assessing attractiveness and strategic fit, and formulating recommendations on market entry decisions. It drives analytical rigor, velocity of evaluation, and creative thinking in growth strategy development, and collaborates with an ecosystem of technology strategy, segment strategy, R&D, and business units to accelerate growth strategy from ideation to commercialization. Cultivating ecosystem relationships and comparing build, buy, and partner options for market entry to identify actionable opportunities are also part of the responsibilities. Across these projects, the Executive Director will structure strategic problem-solving, develop and execute project plans, secure buy-in from executive stakeholders, orchestrate contributions from junior team members and virtual teams, and contribute to talent development and knowledge transfer. The role requires conducting rigorous quantitative analyses with actionable recommendations and developing Senior Leadership and Board presentations to drive alignment.
