About The Position

The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. is seeking an Executive Director, Data & AI to drive the AI infrastructure for intelligent content generation and creative automation within their digital and marketing organization. This role is at the intersection of data engineering, AI/ML product strategy, and marketing technology. The individual will be responsible for establishing data pipelines, model integrations, and feedback loops to enable scalable, brand-safe content production from brief to asset across all channels.

Requirements

  • 10-12+ years of experience spanning data, AI, product management, and enterprise technology leadership.
  • Track record of scaling high-performing teams.
  • Proven ability to drive measurable business and marketing outcomes through data products, AI capabilities, and analytics platforms.
  • Experience delivering data and AI solutions at global scale across multi-brand and multi-market environments.
  • Deep familiarity with digital marketing technology ecosystems, including DAMs, PIMs, creative workflow platforms, content taxonomies, and marketing data infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated success designing and implementing workflow automation and intelligent process optimization across marketing and digital functions.
  • A builder who understands that AI is only as good as the data underneath it.
  • Comfortable in technical architecture conversations and senior marketing presentations.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working closely with engineers and data scientists.
  • Ability to translate complex data infrastructure into business outcomes for marketers.
  • Blend of product leadership, deep understanding of digital marketing and e-commerce ecosystems, and strong technical fluency across consumer data, marketing technology platforms, and AI solutions (generative AI, predictive analytics, marketing intelligence).

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the product vision and roadmap for Data & AI across content intelligence, creative automation, and AI-powered marketing workflows.
  • Translate brand and commerce priorities into clear OKRs, adoption targets, and measurable outcomes tied to revenue, engagement, and efficiency.
  • Maintain deep expertise across marketing data platforms, CDPs, identity infrastructure, generative AI for content personalization, campaign execution, consumer interaction, and automation/orchestration layers.
  • Drive data products and AI capabilities for creative and pre-activation marketing at scale, including generative AI for concepting, asset variation, copy generation, localization, and production acceleration.
  • Develop content performance analytics to understand creative element resonance, target audiences, and timing.
  • Implement creative workflow analytics to improve efficiency, asset reuse, and reduce cycle time.
  • Manage global product roadmaps with a focus on creative and brand impact.
  • Lead a team of Product Managers and collaborate with Data Science and Engineering to ship scalable AI products.
  • Establish KPIs such as creative effectiveness, content ROI, cost savings, asset reuse, and brand equity lift.
  • Lead Data & AI discussions within the CDMO organization and partner with marketing, brands, creative teams, and vendor partners.
  • Build adoption programs to help marketers and creatives utilize AI as a partner in ideation, design, and storytelling.
  • Ensure all creative AI deployments meet brand safety, copyright, IP, and responsible AI standards.
  • Ensure creative and marketing AI products operate within brand governance, legal, privacy, and responsible AI guardrails.
