About The Position

Unique opportunity at Rabobank to join a cohesive leveraged finance team where expertise, collaboration, and true client partnership define our path to trusted‑advisor impact. This is an opportunity to take a leadership position within leveraged finance capital markets origination, and build out Rabobank’s US leveraged finance platform. As a Capital Markets Officer you will be successful to deliver expert, insight‑driven leveraged finance solutions by working collaboratively within a close‑knit team to help clients meet their strategic objectives and build long‑term, trusted‑advisor relationships. As an Executive Director in Leveraged Finance Capital Markets, you will help clients access the leveraged loan and HY Bond capital markets by structuring, presenting, arranging, underwriting, and syndicating financing solutions. You’ll work closely with sponsor coverage, relationship managers, product partners, and investors to deliver thoughtful, risk‑aware outcomes for our clients and the bank. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance/Accounting or related field preferred) or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years in Corporate or Leveraged Finance, Capital Markets, or Loan Syndications with demonstrated understanding of leveraged structures and credit risk.
  • FINRA Series 79 and 63 (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).
  • Additional licensing (e.g., Series 7) may be required depending on responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge of relevant banking regulations, Rabobank (or comparable) policies/limits, and core Markets products.
  • Ability to structure and execute leveraged debt financings and to partner effectively across functions (coverage, credit, syndicate, legal).
  • Clear written and verbal communication with diverse internal and external stakeholders; able to translate complex issues into actionable guidance.
  • Ability to travel regionally up to 15%
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Track and analyze loan and broader capital‑markets developments and share clear, actionable insights with bankers, clients, and internal partners.
  • Assess issuer needs and capital‑structure options; build and review leveraged financing and syndication proposals with a balanced, risk‑aware approach.
  • Collaborate with clients and sponsors to present financing ideas, discuss terms, and support informed decision‑making throughout the process.
  • Develop and execute investor outreach strategies; partner with sales and distribution to achieve targeted outcomes.
  • Lead transaction execution in partnership with counsel and internal stakeholders to close accurate, timely documentation.
  • Keep colleagues and leadership apprised of market dynamics, pipeline status, and transaction progress; escalate issues promptly.
  • Support co‑managed bond and equity transactions as appropriate.
