About The Position

Exceptional Care for Children (ECC) seeks an experienced, compassionate Executive Director/Administrator to lead the daily operations of its nonprofit pediatric long-term care facility. The role provides overall leadership to ensure exceptional care for children with complex medical needs while maintaining regulatory compliance, financial performance, and a positive environment for residents, families, and staff. The Executive Director/Administrator leads facility operations, supports department directors and staff, promotes resident safety and quality of life, oversees quality assurance and financial performance, and builds relationships with families, healthcare partners, community organizations, and funders. The position also supports fundraising, marketing, and community outreach.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher.
Current Delaware Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Long-term care administration experience.
501(c)(3) nonprofit leadership experience.
Experience with pediatric long-term care or children with complex medical needs.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily facility operations, programs, and services.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and maintain survey readiness.
Lead, support, and develop department directors and staff.
Promote resident safety, dignity, rights, and quality of life.
Oversee quality assurance, staffing, training, and emergency preparedness.
Manage facility expenses and the annual budget, and report financial performance to the Board.
Oversee admissions, census, and bed utilization.
Build relationships with families, healthcare partners, community organizations, and funders.
Support fundraising, marketing, and community outreach.
Maintain current licensure and required professional education.
