Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for McLaren Flint Hospital in Flint, MI. The Executive Chef will be a dynamic team player with a strong background in managing frontline staff and developing teams in a culinary environment. This role involves implementing and standardizing all culinary systems and procedures for the hospital, including catering, retail menus, LTOs, STG, Mindful, garnishing, panning charts, production, puree standardization, FMS sheets, inventory control, HACCP, cleaning schedules, staffing plans, presentation and quality of food, kitchen cleanliness, and safety. Sodexo standards will be the benchmark. Responsibilities include monitoring, auditing, and standardizing FMS for new menus, ensuring food and physical safety, and conducting annual training for all hourly associates. The Executive Chef will also conduct Gold Check audits, create action plans, and maintain audit books. Procurement duties involve working with vendors, managing the purchasing manager, and overseeing purchasing financial audits. The role also includes continuing sustainability programs, improving catering and banquet services, creating client-need-based menus, implementing innovative ideas in retail, catering, and patient services, and building client relationships within the hospital.
