About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 3 for a 600 bed, two hospital acute care system located in Trenton and Hopewell Township, NJ. In this lead culinary role, you will direct and participate in all of the food production operations for their full-service Cafe, Catering and Patient Meal Services utilizing the speciality meal program "At Your Request". Responsibilities will include: menu planning, hands-on food prep, food & labor costing, inventory/purchasing, training, scheduling and supervision of 50 union and non-union hourly associates.

  • Working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS), The Market Connection (TMC), Sodexo Menu Graphics (SMG), Catetrax
  • Proficient in computer skills and report management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years minimum management experience
  • 3 years minimum functional experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Have oversight of day-to-day operations
  • Successfully coordinate all required tasks through subordinate managers, supervisors and frontline staff
  • Support Patient Service and retail department
  • Develop and maintain client and customer relationships (i.e., comfortable in c-suite settings where communication skills are imperative when serving as top level site management)
  • Develop strategic plans
  • Ensure HACCP, regulatory and standards compliance
  • Create a positive environment
  • Ensure Sodexo standards are met
