About The Position

Fox Meadow Country Club is seeking a dynamic, creative, and highly organized Executive Chef to lead all culinary operations and deliver an exceptional dining experience for our membership. This role is responsible for setting the vision and standards for our food program, elevating consistency and quality, and creating memorable experiences that reflect the lifestyle and hospitality of a premier private club. The Executive Chef will be a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, member-focused environment, with a passion for innovation, team development, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a private club, upscale restaurant, or resort environment
  • Strong culinary background with a focus on high-quality, scratch cuisine
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience building and managing teams
  • Solid understanding of financial management, including budgeting, food cost control, and labor management
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a high-expectation, member-driven environment

  • Culinary degree preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute seasonal, scratch-driven menus for à la carte dining, banquets, and special events
  • Lead culinary programming including themed dining nights, member events, and experiential offerings
  • Maintain a balance of classic club favorites and modern, innovative cuisine
  • Ensure consistent execution, presentation, and quality across all food outlets
  • Oversee all back-of-house operations including production, sanitation, and safety standards
  • Maintain strict adherence to health department regulations and food safety protocols
  • Implement efficient systems for prep, execution, and service to ensure consistency and timeliness
  • Monitor and manage kitchen equipment, maintenance, and cleanliness
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing culinary team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement
  • Lead by example with a hands-on approach during service and preparation
  • Collaborate with Food & Beverage leadership to ensure alignment on service standards and member experience
  • Manage food cost, labor cost, and overall kitchen budget to meet or exceed financial targets
  • Oversee inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost control
  • Analyze performance metrics and adjust operations to drive efficiency and profitability
  • Create and manage staffing schedules aligned with business levels
  • Engage with members to understand preferences and continuously enhance offerings
  • Respond promptly and professionally to feedback, ensuring high levels of satisfaction
  • Play an active role in club events and initiatives to elevate the overall member experience
