About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 to support all culinary operations at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital located in Elkin, North Carolina. Hugh Chatham Health operates as an 81 bed acute care hospital. The facility is a non-profit community health care network serving the Yadkin Valley region and recently joined Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.

Requirements

A strong culinary background, with a passion for food and innovation
Prior experience working with a contract management company
Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to coach, mentor and engage the frontline culinary team
Previous experience working in a high-volume facility
Strong management skills
Knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS)
Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
2 years Minimum Management Experience
2 years Minimum Functional Experience - work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Responsibilities

Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.
Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution
Executes the culinary function
Customer & Client satisfaction
Manages food & physical safety program.
