About The Position
Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 to support all culinary operations at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital located in Elkin, North Carolina. Hugh Chatham Health operates as an 81 bed acute care hospital. The facility is a non-profit community health care network serving the Yadkin Valley region and recently joined Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.
Requirements
- a strong culinary background, with a passion for food and innovation
- prior experience working with a contract management company
- strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Word and Excel
- excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to coach, mentor and engage the frontline culinary team
- previous experience working in a high-volume facility
- strong management skills
- a knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS)
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years Minimum Management Experience
- 2 years Minimum Functional Experience - work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Responsibilities
- Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.
- Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution
- Executes the culinary function
- Customer & Client satisfaction
- Manages food & physical safety program.
