About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef to support the Middletown City School District in Middletown, OH. This role provides culinary leadership for high-volume K‑12 breakfast, lunch, catering, and summer feeding programs, with a strong focus on food quality, menu execution, and presentation. Middletown City Schools is a large, progressive district and proud CEP participant, serving free breakfast and lunch daily with high student participation. Requirements

Proven culinary leadership experience, preferably in a K ‑ 12 school environment
Strong high ‑ volume production and catering expertise
ServSafe Certification (required)
Excellent food presentation and display of cooking skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast ‑ paced environment
Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
2 years Minimum Management Experience
1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Knowledge of NSLP guidelines (preferred)

Responsibilities

Lead daily culinary operations for high‑volume K‑12 breakfast and lunch programs
Oversee catering services and special events across the district
Execute menu planning, food preparation, and production standards
Support innovative programs including mobile food truck and summer feeding initiatives
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and Sodexo standards
Train, coach, and inspire culinary team members while supporting marketing and “Chef in the Classroom” initiatives
