Job SummaryFriendsview Retirement Community is located in Newberg, OR. There are 600 residents spread across campus in independent living housing, assisted living, and memory care facilities, as well as internal catering. There is a main kitchen that serves as the hub for five other kitchens that serve the different communities. There is also a Bistro that serves residents and the public, and is responsible for our external catering as well. We have a team of roughly 40 BOH employees serving around 350 meals per day throughout our various locations. There are residents with dietary needs including low sodium, mechanical soft diets, and other considerations as well. We are looking for an experienced and organized chef who can effectively manage multiple locations, create nutritious, flavorful and exciting menus from scratch on a weekly basis, and adhere to safety standards and regulatory surveys.
