About The Position

The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Department under the supervision of the City Manager. This role involves performing a variety of administrative duties, maintaining confidentiality, and establishing positive working relationships with various departments and external agencies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Three-to-five (3-5) years of administrative experience in an office environment

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree or higher preferred
  • Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of miscellaneous administrative duties for the City Manager such as answering phones, typing, research, and filing.
  • Schedules, maintains, and updates appointments and/or calendar(s) on a daily basis.
  • Maintains confidentiality when exposed to sensitive material and information.
  • Relays appropriate information accurately via phone, email, written correspondence, or in person, demonstrating knowledge of the City's facilities, functions, and programs.
  • Assists with the publication of brochures, calendars, letters, posters, news releases, flyers and related communications relevant to a particular program or special event as needed.
  • Establishes a positive working relationship with all City departments.
  • Performs a variety of miscellaneous administrative duties for the Executive Department such as answering phones, typing, research, and filing.
  • Works effectively with outside agencies and responds to requests as appropriate.
  • Works effectively with the City Commissioners; responds to their inquiries and requests as needed; offers administrative support as needed.
  • Assists the City Clerk, as needed, with the execution of documents and contracts approved by the City Commission.
