About The Position

Baptist Housing is seeking a curious, analytical, and motivated student to support the Director of Operations within their Long-Term Care (LTC) portfolio. This role is designed as a developmental opportunity for a student interested in healthcare operations, data analysis, and strategic project work. The successful candidate will contribute to key initiatives by gathering insights, supporting project execution, and helping translate operational data into meaningful information for decision-making.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education (health administration, business, data analytics, or related field preferred)
  • Experience working with data (Excel, Power BI, or similar tools)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to organize and interpret information from multiple sources
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication
  • Initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Must meet eligibility requirements under the Canada Summer Jobs program

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational and quality data across the LTC portfolio
  • Develop summaries, dashboards, and reports to support leadership decision-making
  • Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
  • Translate complex information into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences
  • Support the advancement of strategic and operational projects within the LTC portfolio
  • Track key milestones, risks, and deliverables across multiple initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of tools, templates, and reporting structures to improve project visibility
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project progress and alignment
  • Assist in researching leading practices, policies, and approaches to support operational improvements
  • Contribute to the development of materials that support planning, evaluation, and decision-making
  • Support leadership in synthesizing information related to quality improvement and performance initiatives
  • Support the preparation of materials that inform leadership discussions and planning
  • Participate in meetings to observe and understand operational decision-making processes
  • Provide input and follow-up support related to key initiatives and action items
