About The Position

The Executive Assistant supporting Mandalay Bay, Luxor, and Excalibur is accountable for delivering high-level administrative support within the Food & Beverage Department. This includes planning and scheduling meetings and appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files; managing special projects; conducting research; and collecting information by using the telephone, mail services, websites, and email. All duties are performed in accordance with department guest service standards and MGM Resorts International policies, practices and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience - Executive Assistant or Administrative experience
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, thrive under time constraints, consistently meet deadlines, and bring strong attention to detail to their work
  • Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
  • Experience working in a similar resort setting

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective and comprehensive support to department head.
  • Proper phone etiquette, people and communication skill; provide general office support to all team members on an as needed basis and perform related duties as required.
  • Type documents to include correspondence, presentations, forms, reports, etc.
  • Schedule meetings and conference calls.
  • Organize international and domestic travel ranging from air and hotel reservations to passport and visa applications; handle situations where independent judgment is exercised, thereby relieving the Executive of extraneous matters.
  • Screen incoming calls and either assist caller when appropriate, forward calls that can be handled by others; maintain confidential files and honor the integrity of all information.
  • Manage and prioritize heavy volume of e-mails including archiving and retrieval.
  • Reconcile expenses and submit reimbursable items for processing.
  • Update and maintain Executive’s business associate contact details.
