About The Position

Under the general direction of the CHHS Dean, the Executive Assistant provides coordination and support for the work of the Dean. The incumbent is expected to have a thorough knowledge of the college, the university and its organization, and all policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Possess strong organizational and communication skills to communicate effectively with ethnically and culturally diverse faculty, staff, students, and the general public.
  • Thorough, detailed knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and be able to clearly communicate orally and in writing.
  • Expertise in using office software packages, technology, and systems.
  • Ability to effectively handle interpersonal interactions at all levels and handle highly sensitive interpersonal situations.
  • Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.
  • Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level executive administrative support to the Dean of the College of Health and Human Services.
  • Oversee the administrative tasks and customer service for the CHHS Dean's Office front desk.
  • Faculty Support and Administration: Prepares and collects faculty Assigned Time and Additional Employment request forms and obtains final certifications from faculty for work accomplished on all AE/AT being initiated, funded, or requested by the Dean or CHHS Administration.
