About The Position

We are a fast-paced, mission-driven immigration and international human rights law firm based in Washington, DC. Our work sits at the intersection of advocacy, litigation, and global impact. We represent individuals and organizations in complex, high stakes matters and are committed to innovation in how legal services are delivered. We are seeking a dynamic, highly organized, and forward-thinking Executive Assistant to support our legal team, including our Managing Partner, from an operations perspective. This is not a traditional assistant role—you will be a key partner in optimizing how our lawyers work, improving internal systems, and helping the firm leverage technology (including firm-approved technology tools, such as AI, in alignment with internal guidelines) to better serve our clients.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an executive assistant, legal assistant, or similar operations-focused role (law firm experience strongly preferred)
  • Spanish/English fluency strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently as a self-starter
  • Interest in or experience leveraging technology to improve workflows and efficiency; exposure to AI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage complex scheduling and calendar coordination for attorneys, including across time zones and high-priority matters
  • Support client intake coordination and collaborate with the Client Experience Coordinator to ensure a professional and efficient client experience
  • Support case management from an operational standpoint, including tracking deadlines, workflows, and internal coordination
  • Identify inefficiencies in administrative and operational processes and propose innovative, tech-driven solutions
  • Support, and where appropriate, lead the implementation and optimization of firm-approved tools (including AI, where applicable), and provide feedback on opportunities to enhance productivity and legal workflows
  • Draft, edit, and proofread professional communications and internal documents
  • Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and internal staff to ensure seamless operations
