About The Position

Play On Philly (POP) is a leading nonprofit organization that provides transformative music instruction to K-12 students in communities with limited access to formal music education. Through our work, we help children and youth in Philadelphia aspire to academic and social success, realize their full potential for growth, and become instruments of change in their communities. As we approach the end of our 15th year, we are expanding our impact through multiple sites, vibrant partnerships, and a host of public performance opportunities throughout the region. The POP team is a deeply committed and collaborative team, working in close partnership to advance the organization’s mission. Many team members have been with POP for 10 years or more—a testament to the strength of the organizational culture and the talented, thoughtful leadership that has fostered both loyalty and professional growth. We are seeking a proactive, experienced Executive Assistant to serve as the trusted, right-hand person supporting our Executive Director and Senior Leadership Team. By anticipating needs, navigating competing priorities, strengthening communication across the organization, and ensuring details are executed seamlessly, you’ll enable our team to remain focused on leading the organization effectively and advancing opportunities for youth in our communities. Requirements

  • Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage complex, shifting demands while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and execution.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and resourceful, with a calm, solutions-oriented approach.
  • 4+ years of administrative experience supporting senior executives or C-Suite leaders in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects quickly and accurately
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a keen eye for polished deliverables
  • Proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships
  • High level of discretion in maintaining confidentiality with sensitive information and materials
