About The Position

Position Summary: The Executive Assistant to the Office of the President is an exempt position that provides high-level administrative, organizational, and strategic support to the President of Community HigherEd Institute. This role serves as a trusted partner to the President, supporting executive operations across all three campuses while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion. The Executive Assistant also provides direct support to the Board of Directors and plays a critical role in ensuring effective communication, coordination, and follow-through on institutional priorities across the institution.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of executive administrative support experience, preferably supporting senior leadership
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Boards of Directors or senior governance bodies
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence
  • Proficiency in Google Suites, Microsoft Office and related productivity tools

  • Experience in higher education or a multi-campus organization
  • Experience supporting executive leadership in a complex or regulated environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Manage the President’s complex calendar, scheduling, and travel across multiple campuses and external commitments
  • Coordinate executive meetings, campus visits, and special events
  • Prepare, draft, edit, and manage executive correspondence, reports, presentations, and official communications
  • Track action items, deadlines, and commitments to ensure timely follow-up and accountability
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for the Office of the President
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with faculty, staff, students, Board members, and external stakeholders
  • Exercise sound judgment in prioritizing inquiries and requests
  • Ensure consistent and accurate information flow across campuses
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the Board of Directors
  • Coordinate board and committee meetings, including agendas, materials, minutes, and follow-up documentation
  • Ensure board materials are prepared accurately and distributed in a timely manner
  • Support compliance with governance processes, timelines, and institutional policies
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Anticipate needs, identify potential issues, and proactively recommend solutions
  • Maintain organized systems for records, files, and confidential materials
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information related to personnel matters, governance, legal issues, and strategic initiatives with discretion and integrity
  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and professionalism in all interactions
  • Support coordination and alignment across three campuses
  • Build effective working relationships with campus leaders and administrative teams
  • Assist with institutional initiatives, special projects, and strategic priorities as assigned
