About The Position

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), located in Reno, Nevada, is seeking applicants for an Executive Assistant supporting the Office of the President. This position serves as a strategic partner within the President’s Office, providing high-level, confidential administrative and operational support to the President and the Director of Executive Operations. The Executive Assistant plays a critical role in advancing institutional priorities by ensuring the effective coordination, communication, and execution of executive-level initiatives and daily operations. Reporting directly to the Director of Executive Operations, this position helps drive alignment across the President’s Office by managing complex workflows, anticipating needs, and ensuring continuity of operations in a fast-paced environment. The Executive Assistant is responsible for overseeing administrative and financial processes that support the Office of the President, including tracking expenditures, reconciling PCard transactions, preparing requisitions and supporting documentation, and facilitating budget revisions and transfers. This role monitors office budgets to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with institutional guidelines. This position provides advanced operational support by managing sensitive and confidential information; interpreting and applying institutional policies, regulations, and procedures; and conducting research and analysis to inform decision-making. The Executive Assistant develops and prepares executive-level materials, including agendas, briefings, and official minutes, while maintaining comprehensive records and ensuring the integrity of documentation flowing through the President’s Office. In addition, this role contributes to the successful execution of presidential and college-wide events by supporting planning, coordination, and logistics. The Executive Assistant works collaboratively with campus partners to ensure events reflect institutional priorities, are well-executed, and provide a consistent and professional experience.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative support experience which included overseeing administrative office activities, maintaining complex records, and coordinating administrative communication including written and oral information to various managers and work groups; OR One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant IV in Nevada State service which included administrative support duties as described above; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above
