About The Position

The Executive Assistant to the Director provides executive level assistance to the director of the University of Arkansas Community Design Center (UACDC), an award-winning outreach center in the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design. The Executive Assistant is responsible for completing a wide variety of standard fiscal related tasks and office management with an annual budget of nearly $700,000. This includes oversight of the unit’s fiscal accounting system and budgets, support of pre- and post-award grants and project contract processes, and coordination of project/program activities. As a public-facing representative of UACDC, the position requires responses to inquiries in a timely manner using effective interpersonal communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and methods as appropriate to address questions and/or concerns. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Five years of experience in fiscal operations and office management OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

  • Experience with state and university procurement policies and procedures
  • Experience with Workday, Quickbooks, or other ERP financial systems

Responsibilities
