About The Position

This is a part-time, job-share position for the 2026-2027 school year, providing high-level, confidential administrative support to the Superintendent of Schools. The role ensures the effective and efficient operation of the Bristol Warren Regional School District. It requires seamless collaboration with a job share partner to maintain continuous, professional coverage for the Superintendent's Office.

Requirements

  • Strong organization and computer literacy skills.
  • Commitment to professional confidentiality; must possess the experience and sound judgment to determine which matters must be maintained in strict confidence.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, prioritize tasks effectively, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and web posting platforms.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business correspondence and governmental regulations; skill in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Ability to develop professional reports, business correspondence and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from staff, parents, community groups, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts with accuracy.
  • Ability to utilize current technology for communication, data analysis, and research access.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the Superintendent's complex calendar and scheduling.
  • Screen and manage telephone and email communications, providing assistance or directing inquiries to appropriate resources.
  • Serve as a professional point of contact for visitors, ensuring they are received and directed appropriately.
  • Oversee and update District website to ensure accurate public relations and effective communication.
  • Coordinate verbal and written communications with parents, students, staff, and community members in consultation with the Superintendent.
  • Independently prepare comprehensive reports, questionnaires, and surveys as mandated by local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Access and safeguard confidential information related to collective bargaining, labor management, union grievances, and policy review.
  • Handle Access to Public Records Requests for the District Records Office.
  • Perform additional duties and assume responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent.
