About The Position
Brooke Charter Schools is a network of four public charter schools serving grades K-12 in Mattapan, Roslindale, and East Boston. Brooke Charter School is committed to high academic achievement and supporting our students to and through college. This is a part-time role with hours from 6:00-7:15 am and 4:00-5:30 pm. This is a Boston Public Schools (BPS) position, hired in partnership with Brooke. Selected candidates will be required to complete BPS hiring paperwork and onboarding processes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience working with children
- Able to lead large groups of children in a positive and safe manner
- Professional, warm, and collaborative with students, families, and colleagues
Nice To Haves
- Ability to stay calm during an emergency
Responsibilities
- Arrive on time at the first pick-up stop in the morning and arrive at Brooke Mattapan at dismissal.
- Direct children to pick-up and drop-off locations and ensure the safety of each child.
- Check the roster and maintain attendance for all students.
- Resolve routine communication problems or incident reports with families, students, and school officials.
- Demonstrate team work with bus driver daily.
