About The Position

As the Executive Assistant to our CMO (Chief Medical Officer), you will support a clinical leader driving the development of innovative therapies to get better drugs to patients faster. You will partner closely with the CMO to enable them to operate at maximum effectiveness by managing priorities, streamlining operations, and anticipating needs across a fast-paced, science-driven environment. Your work will directly influence the CMO’s ability to focus on advancing our clinical pipeline, shaping development strategy, and delivering meaningful outcomes for patients. You’ll play a critical role connecting internal teams, external partners, and clinical stakeholders; ensuring seamless execution across clinical, regulatory, and cross-functional initiatives in the U.S., UK, and Canada. This is a highly impactful position for an experienced professional who thrives on complexity, precision, and bringing structure to dynamic environments - someone who values both strategic alignment and the energy of working alongside a collaborative team.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant supporting C-suite executives, ideally in a public biotech organization
  • Passion for science, innovation, and improving human health, with an appreciation for the clinical development process and the fast-moving world of biotechnology
  • Ability to think ahead, anticipate needs, and propose thoughtful solutions - not just execute tasks
  • Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with a track record of managing competing priorities gracefully
  • Flexibility to adapt in real time, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality work in a dynamic environment
  • Comfort working across time zones and managing frequent international travel
  • Discretion in handling sensitive information and building trusted relationships
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Slack

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the CMO’s complex and ever-changing calendar, travel, and communications with discretion and foresight
  • Anticipate scheduling conflicts, track key deliverables, and proactively adjust plans in alignment with clinical priorities and development milestones
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including clinical, regulatory, and research partners, demonstrating sound judgment and professionalism at all times
  • Plan and coordinate internal and external meetings, ensuring high-quality materials and seamless execution across clinical and cross-functional teams
  • Arrange detailed domestic and international travel itineraries as needed
  • Partner with internal teams to support clinical leadership activities, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and key scientific engagements
  • Maintain confidentiality while ensuring clear and timely information sharing between the CMO, leadership team, and external collaborators
