Executive Assistant to CEO - Ezra

Function HealthUS - Remote,

About The Position

Function Health is seeking a sharp, resourceful, and AI-native Executive Assistant to join the Office of the CEO. This role is designed for someone who will act as a true operating partner to the CEO, owning the systems, signals, and workflows that enable maximum leverage. The ideal candidate will not only operate within existing systems but also contribute to designing new AI-native infrastructure for the Office of the CEO. This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside an entrepreneur at the forefront of preventive health and AI, with potential for growth in scope over time. Key responsibilities include managing a complex calendar, coordinating cross-functional communication, organizing travel, and ensuring the CEO's time is aligned with organizational priorities. The role also involves corresponding on behalf of the CEO with investors, board members, strategic partners, and advisors, requiring strong written communication skills, professional judgment, and poise. The Executive Assistant will collaborate closely with the Chief of Staff as a unified Office of the CEO unit, focusing on calendar audits, meeting preparation, logistics, workflow design, and maintaining a clear view of the CEO's priorities. Ezra emphasizes immediate action, a strong writing culture, and prefers asynchronous communication. The company is looking for individuals energized by fast-paced, high-growth environments and motivated by its mission.

Requirements

  • Comfort owning complex calendars and high-volume scheduling is required — whether you’ve done it formally in an EA seat or informally as part of another operational role.
  • Genuinely excited about AI tooling and the leverage it creates — and equally clear-eyed about where AI falls short without human judgment, ownership, and taste. You’re an enthusiastic early adopter of tools like Claude, Granola, and Notion, and you have opinions about how to use them well.
  • Proven track record of using AI tools to automate or augment real workflows — not just familiarity with the tools, but specific processes you've materially improved. You can articulate what you built, why it mattered, and where your judgment was still required.
  • Strong instinct for prioritization. You can identify the highest-leverage move in a pile of competing demands and articulate why the others can wait.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail. Clarity, conciseness, and professional tone are non-negotiable.
  • High emotional intelligence, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Fluency in Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and other modern productivity tools.
  • Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and solve problems quickly. When something can be done today, it gets done today.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior EA or executive-support experience is welcome but not required — equivalent experience in operations, recruiting, program management, or startup generalist roles will be considered.
  • Previous experience coordinating with a Chief of Staff or within an Office of the CEO structure.
  • Motivated by Ezra’s mission of early cancer detection and the broader vision of helping people live 100 healthy years. You don’t need a health tech background, but you should care about what we’re building.
