About The Position

Mercer University is searching for an Executive Assistant for Student Affairs on the Atlanta, Georgia campus. The Executive Assistant position serves all the departments within Student Affairs: Access & Accommodations, Campus Life, Counseling and Psychological Services, Housing and Residence Life, Recreational Sports and Wellness, and Center for Career and Professional Development. This position manages budgets for several of these departments. The Executive Assistant manages social media accounts and creates bi-weekly campus wide announcements. Event planning and marketing creation for these events is also a component of this position.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and one year of administrative support experience are required. In lieu of a degree, an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, phone, and face-to-face interactions, are essential.
  • Must have the ability to use Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business software applications used to create, maintain, and distribute reports, correspondence, and organizational records.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial recordkeeping practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining accurate records and supporting office operations.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry, documentation, and reporting.
  • Skill in providing exceptional customer service and fostering positive working relationships.
  • Skill in utilizing Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet applications to track, analyze, and manage data.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating self-reliance and initiative.
