Reporting to the Executive Associate Dean (EAD), Medical Education, with accountability to the School of Medicine (SOM) Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role oversees core administration and daily operations for all educational training programs within SOM, including Graduate Medical Education (GME), Undergraduate Medical Education (UME), MD/PhD Program, and Academic Health Professions. The position leads the implementation of key business and strategic initiatives, directs the planning, development, and monitoring of all program-related budgets, and develops short and long-term programmatic goals and objectives for Medical Education, ensuring compliance with accreditation and other regulatory standards. This role also oversees or assists in the development of operational and statistical reports, manages HR functions, and oversees staff development. Collaboration with various departments such as space/facility management and IT is crucial, as is the preparation and review of external contracts and agreements. The Executive Administrator also assists in the formulation and implementation of strategic plans for SOM education programs and develops and reviews policies related to medical education across programs, ensuring compliance, evaluation, and documentation processes required to maintain accredited status.
